There was an upset in Jemappes where much higher rankedOostende (21-6) was defeated by ninth ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (15-12) 78-69 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Icelandic swingman Styrmir Thrastarson (200-2001, college: Davidson, agency: Blacktop Management) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and Zaccharie Mortant (192-1998) who added 11 points and 8 assists during the contest. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Timmy Allen (198-2000, college: Texas) responded with 18 points and center Servaas Buysschaert (204-1999) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Oostende's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Union Mons maintains ninth position with 15-12 record. Defending Belgian champion Oostende keeps the second place with six games lost.
